I started using MMD for the first time in 2011, when I didn't have an own PC ( or I did have one but I didn't have any internet ) and was out of town almost everyday to be at an internet cafe that I could use. I was bored and tried it out and it was quite funny. Of course my videos weren't that good. Starting with this one:

Okay what the fuck.

This was on my first Youtube Account I guess? The quality was bad since I didn't know how to render properly. My english was really really bad (as you can see in the title) and my writing style was worse as well. I didn't really know how to use MME back then and it didn't even work on the computer either.

Okay, let's move to 2012. Still not having a computer or even internet at home ( I was into a bad family situation, let's just put it like this ), but not too far away where I was living there was another internet cafe that was visiting everyday (okay not in the weekends though). I could use MMD there too but okay, I took a step further and tried my attempt with making my first model.

I miss that model... I wonder if I still have her up somewhere though...

According to the description I used to have another MMD channel before but I can't remember- I think I deleted it- blame my shitty memory. Okay, it was like my first attempt to make a proper model, and I think I used a way how to make models with the 3DCG program (actually a... hentai/ecchi based program ). It was a rough step but hey! I was able to use MME on that ones I guess. I'm honest: I don't know what happened to the camera on this one. Around the same time I bought myself my first Windows 100% Model: Kitty'er Rio.

It was Youtube ruining the camera, I bet my scarf for it.

You see, I had NO IDEA I should remove the dark outlines because hey, all I did was just putting the shit together (model, stage, motion, WAV) and render it. However: I used MME and even though it was limited, I was able to use certain effects such as diffusion, etc...

Okay, let's travel to the year 2013. I got a decent working laptop and I moved into my own apartment (actually since october 2012 but yeah I didn't have a computer and internet until the start of 2013). During the time I met someone who's become very close to me since now: ThaamiChan the little shit who I still adore so much. They were so kind and helped me getting an Aladdin Model and with that I returned into MMD business but uploaded most of my stuff on my VocaSatsu-channel, the main one.

Aladdin why are you so tiny.

It was, in fact, a comeback and I was able to develop my MMD skills with more effects and such. I've got a lot of help and read tutorials and such, I learned more about decent effects and how to use them. And then there was a new attempt in making models, and this time I didn't use any converter but put the shit together. If you remember Izzy Blaze ( if not watch the second video of this article ), she kinda got a revamp:

Tbh this model was so easy to make...

I used my VocaSatsu channel for MMD videos but ceased using it for these and even set my MMD videos on that channel on private (the Magi MMD one and the Izzy seem the only one that have remained, I then started using MMD on this channel if I made VOCALOID/UTAU covers ). Then, in February, I started my MMD-only channel: SatsuLein, which is still active. The channel started with this video, I guess?

Why did I do this again?

Haaah yes... the good ol' Homestuck times... I uploaded lots of videos; everyday, maybe even multiple times a day. I developed my skills more and more, used several mixes of effects, shaders and so on. With the help of Thaami, I made my own models (basically Thaami was responsible for the fixing and rigging of my models and I'm still grateful for what they have done for me the past years ).

Look at the quality, man. 720p was like the HIGHEST I could do.

Don't ask Thaami or me, but using this model was HELL, you couldn't even move anything. And I'm honest, I still feel sorry for Thaami going through this mess of fixing and rigging like THIS MODEL WAS A BITCH TO FIX.

Until the end of 2013, I was making MMD videos- not everyday but it was enough to be active for an amount of time. OKAY GOOD. I gave up the Homestuck madness and made some other stuff. And now we come to a video that has like the most videos on my MMD channel:

This video is two years old and it has 30k views. I'm a little proud of myself as I was not even noticing it had become that popular. People shared it, I saw people REUPLOADING it and I saw people making GIFs of it. I cried a little, I was really proud.

Mid 2014 and Beginning of 2015 were very busy times for me. I was busy with my training which I attended in August 2014 and I wasn't really into MMD either. I started a new attempt by uploading something about Tokyo Ghoul:re.

Haise, stop being cute.

Within the time I stopped using the Diffuser because It looked very shitty to me. I used it like a few times until I made a bigger step in October/November 2015 and started rendering in 60fps. I thought 'Why not?' because my laptop can still handle 60pfs.

Aaah yes. The improvement. Can you see it?

I started improving a little more until I decided to make another Selfmodel for me since I had a lot of identical issues (and tbh I still do). Again, Thaami helped me with the rigging and fixing, but the eye glitch is still remaining but I'm fine with it:

Oh hey, Melanie Martinez. Oh hey. It's not an overused TDA model. Still good.

2016 was probably the time where 'darker' MMDs were going around as well as videos that are well rendered and put together. Not only that, humanized FNAF models spread like fire and even the use of TDA models were quite annoying for me ( and tbh still are ). I made videos whenever I felt like it- basically when I jumped a new fandom, I made a video. I took small breaks because I was either not feeling it or busy. Improvement was still a step for me and so I began to look for something that would make my videos look better.

Lmao one of these 'Tag you're it' MMD videos that were spreading around.

However, it was like the first attempt to fickle around with MMD and play with the effects. This was by far the scariest one I could do imo. I thought I finally reached my limit but then I tried more and more. I have reached the level I am currently am.

Because damn.

... double damn?

I thought I was here. But now look at it. A very good friend introduced to the Raycast Shader which is REALLY HELL TO USE. And you really need a strong computer or either luck. Because this piece of shit of shaders makes models look good BUT it will make your computer crash. I wish the best of luck to anyone who wants to use it. Here's the current video of me using and trying the Raycast Shader for the first time:

I wanted death after it was finished.

Now there's still me, looking for more stuff I can learn and improve. Maybe, just maybe, whenever I get a better computer, I may go further, depending on what comes for me. I am happy with the improvement I made the last five years and I never thought I was going to be that far as I am right now.
